Cabo Community Assistance Program which helps families in need
This year, through the Dillon Foundation's Cabo Community assistance
program, Salvador's Sportfishing Charters and their customers helped
with their donations a total of seventy five families. Over 300 people were
helped with food related products like Flower, sugar, coffee, beans,
rice, fish, cereal, cooking oil, baking soda and more.
These families live up in the mountains between Cabo San Lucas
and Todo Santos. They are very poor and do not have a whole lot.
They live without electricity and running water. They get their
water from wells. Very few families have propane. Most cook and
heat their homes by burning wood. They grow a small amount of food
and make do the best they can. Some of the men go to Cabo San Lucas
or Todo Santos if work is available.
This is a very difficult life.
The entire staff of Salvador's Sportfishing Charters would like
to say " THANKS " to all our wonderful customers who donated money
in 2010. Without your generous financial support, none of this would
be possible.
Thank you and God Bless You.
